HubCap Forum Now Open!

In March 2010, we opened up our forum. For discussing what’s next for people in the workplace - how they can be better measured, managed and reported - our forum perfectly complements the aims and ambitions of our digital library, providing HR, finance, psychology, the media and others with a sounding board for new ideas.

The aims of our forum – like those of HubCap generally – are threefold:

  1. To bridge disparate voices in business (HR talking to Finance - and vice-versa) and academia (getting Psychologists out of the classroom and into the boardroom – and vice-versa)
  2. To use the collective intelligence and power of our ideas (their clash and synergy) to change the way each of us think and work as well as change the way business and Government think we should think and work too
  3. And along the way, to aggregate the kind of business intelligence and new thinking that just might help those coming after us ‘older heads’ who have to put our ideas to the test

Like we said, this ain’t going to be easy. It really is ambitious. It’s going to involve people from different backgrounds getting out of their comfort zones and putting down their comfort blankets and opening up. But it’s worth the effort. And above all the time is now for this kind of debate. There are plenty of forums for the day-to-day. What’s coming next for people in the workplace – our ideas and our role in shaping them – is hopefully going to be much more fun.

Ok, you can keep the comfort blanket
