Dealing with conflict in 2011: Conflict Survey Report now available

Poorly managed conflict costs UK business more than £24 billion every year - an inexcusably high amount, recession or no recession. What many organisations fail to see is that conflict can be prevented (as well as resolved) and managed in a way that has a direct bottom line impact.

Eight weeks ago, HubCap sponsor People Resolutions launched its first annual Workplace Conflict Survey to 122 HR professionals across the UK. We wanted to explore the extent to which organisations currently experience conflict, the impact it has on workplace performance, and how organisations attempt to control the issue through HR and managerial techniques.

The findings were then analysed in order to not only identify the key issues affecting conflict for 2011, but the ways in which they can be practically addressed to bring about cost savings.
